Scholarships & Awards 

The ICHS Alumnae Association offers and administers scholarships for both current students and alumnae to study for a first degree in Jamaica, at a recognised educational institutions.  Applicants should be well rounded students, involved in their school and community..

APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP for academic year 2023-24 will open May 1, 2023 and close June 30, 2023..



Only current or past students of Immaculate Conception HIgh School are invited to apply for scholarship.  Applicants are required to have at least a "B" average, be well rounded individuals of good character, and in need of financial assistance.  Scholarship valid for study in Jamaica only.

Applicants who are shortlisted will be required to provide the following documents:

  • Letter of request for scholarship

  • Most current school grades and exam results

  • Birth certificate

  • 2 letters of recommendation (one must be from a past Teacher)

The Kimberley & Jhenaé Gordon Memorial Grant (Grade 10)

Established in memory of ICHS students, Kimberley and Jhenaé Gordon, this grant seeks to support a current 10th or 11th Grade student of ICHS with a deep love of art


This grant was designed as a vehicle to support some of today’s most creative youngsters. Its framework was deeply guided by the efforts of the conceptualisers to promote artistic development of pupils at the high school level.

Make a Difference Scholarship (Grade 11)

The ICHS Class of 1972 ‘Make a Difference Scholarship’ aims to provide financial assistance to diligent, committed students for specific school-related expenses. Awards are determined by the Class of ’72 and

administered in conjunction with the ICHS Alumnae Association.   Applications are submitted at the end of Grade 10 for consideration.  Successful candidates will receive assistance for the enrollment period
beginning in Grade 11 through Grade 13.

II. Eligibility Requirements:
a. Scholarship awards are need-based and applicants must demonstrate their need for financial assistance.
b. Applicants are required to have achieved at least a ‘B’ average grade in the prior year and continue to do so throughout the three-year assistance period.
c. Applicants must show that they are currently participating in school activities and will continue to contribute to the school community through-out the funding period.

The Daphne Chung Memorial Scholarship

Named in memory of ICHS Alumna Daphne Chung, Class of 1948, this scholarship was established by the Chung family and the ICHS Alumnae Association Florida Chapter in 2022.  Daphne was very proud of her Jamaican roots and Catholic faith.  She was the eldest daughter with 15 siblings and understood the importance of family and community.  The scholarship seeks to invest in the next generation of phenomenal women who are educated, have strong moral character and are involved in their communities.  

The Monica Wright Education Grant

Monica Wright Education Grant, donated by the Wright Sisters in memory of their mother, is given to an ICHS  graduate to pursue full-time study in education.

Tertiary Education Scholarships for ICHS Graduates:

The ICHS Alumnae Association offers scholarship(s) to ICHS graduates who will be pursuing full-time courses of study at local tertiary level institutions.


Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship at the Edna Manley College

The ICHS Alumnae Association offers scholarship to an ICHS graduate who will be pursuing a full-time course of study of the visual or performing arts.

Hall of Fame Scholarships

Bi-annually, the ICHS Alumnae Association hosts a fundraising dinner where outstanding alumnae are inducted into our Hall of Fame, whilst raising funds for the Hall of Fame Scholarship. The number of scholarships offered depends on the amount of funds raised.


The scholarships listed above can be applied to using the application form for the ICHS Alumnae Scholarship.  Applications open May 1, 2023.  Deadline for application is July 31, 2023.
